Rupashree Nanda wins Chameli Devi Jain Award

  • CNN-IBN’s Rupashree Nanda has won the Chameli Devi Jain Award for Outstanding Woman Mediaperson for 2007. Rupashree was selected from a list of 20 entries received from across the country. The jury comprised Coomi Kapoor,

    Contributing Editor, The Indian Express, Alok Mehta, Editor of Outlook Saptahik and president of the Editors Guild of India, and Sachidananda Murthy, Editor of The Week, Delhi and Secretary General of the Guild. The Award will be presented on March 31 at the IIC Auditorium here. This will be followed by a panel discussion on "Media, Freedom, Democracy in South Asia".
