  • The Indian currency today closed stronger by a massive 64 paise against the greenback on anticipation of huge dollar inflows, particularly riding on the Indo-US civilian nuclear deal. The domestic unit which ended at 42.09/10 per dollar moved widely in a range of 42.08 and 42.53 after resuming firm at 42.49/51 a dollar. Forex dealers said the rupee rose sharply because the government’s win in the confidence vote in Parliament on Tuesday has triggered a collective anticipation of key reforms. The Indo-US deal would boost the dollar inflows, they said.
