  • Writer Ruskin Bond resorted to Gandhigiri to deal with traffic congestion in the hill city of Mussoorie.

The widely acclaimed 75-year-old writer, who has been living in Mussoorie for several decades, was seen on Sunday night urging motorists to keep away from the busy Mall Road.

He offered flowers to motorists in a bid to convey the message.

During the past one month, senior citizens of Mussoorie have taken up Gandhigiri to solve traffic issues and on Sunday it was the turn of the Sahitya Academy award winning writer.

Bond, known for his books like Flight of Pigeons and Vagrants in the Valley, lauded efforts of senior citizens in launching the campaign.
