Ryan Reynolds files for divorce

Hollywood actor Ryan Reynolds has moved to end his two-year marriage to wife Scarlett Johansson.

Hollywood actor Ryan Reynolds has moved to end his two-year marriage to wife Scarlett Johansson after legally filing for divorce papers.

The celebrity couple announced their separation earlier this month,but sparked speculation of a reconciliation after being spotted having a cosy dinner together in New York,TMZ online reported.

The ‘Proposal’ star filed for divorce on Dec 23 from the 26-year-old actress in Los Angeles Superior Court with Johansson’s response being filed at the same time.

However,neither party is looking for spousal support with their assets to be split.

“After long and careful consideration on both our parts,we’ve decided to end our marriage. We entered our relationship with love and it’s with love and kindness we leave it. While privacy isn’t expected,it’s certainly appreciated,” a joint statement issued by the couple read after confirming their split.

Reynolds married Johansson in a private ceremony in Canada in 2008.
