Sachin audio book marks White Cane Day

Dhruvtara, a book on cricket maestro Sachin Tendulkar, was launched as an audio book on Monday to mark White Cane Day. Originally written by Sanjay Dudhane, the two-and-a-half-hour audio version also contains additional commentaries of some of Tendulkar's memorable knocks. Tendulkar, who is in South Africa for ICC Champions Trophy, sent a special message and best wishes for the team in a video message which was played on the occasion. The audio book was compiled by Satish Navale, blind educational researcher; Pravin Kachva, who works for students' development at the Poona School and Home for the Blind Trust, Koregaon Park; Hanumant Joshi, a teacher from Satara; Sanjay Unekhe, telephone operator, Indian Navy, Lonavala; Milind Kamble and Nita Ghorpade.
