A senior chef with a five-star hotel has been allegedly assaulted by his former colleague in Powai after the latter was sacked by the victim for his misconduct and inefficacy,police said on Sunday. According to police,the victim R P Singh (45),Senior Chef with Renaissance Hotel,had recently sacked Nihal Jadhav (25),who was working in the kitchens utility department. On Friday evening,Singh was returning home from work on his bike,when he was stopped by two unidentified persons near the IIT gate in Powai. The duo started abusing him with iron rods and sticks,police said. An FIR was registered and further probe is on.
