Christmas celebrations started with a bang on Saturday at the Sacred Heart Convent Senior Secondary School in Sarabha Nagar.
Students of the school organised dance performances, sang carols and presented tableau related to the life of Jesus Christ.
The celebrations started by offering prayers. Students presented several carols and enactments depicting the birth of Christ.
Wearing a festive look, the classrooms of the schools were also decorated.
Earlier, the school held an inter-class competition of tableaux based on Christmas.
Father Antony, assistant parish priest of the Holy Cross Church in Sarabha Nagar, was the chief guest on this occasion.
He asked the students to be sensitive to the needs of the people around them. He also awarded the certificate of excellence to the girl guides. Vice Principal of the school Sister Veena D’Sousa was also present.
