Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur,a prime accused in the 2008 Malegaon bomb blast case,on Thursday withdrew her bail application in the Bombay High Court.
She had filed for bail on health grounds, claiming that she has been diagnosed with third-stage breast cancer.
While hearing Thakurs application on July 18,a High Court judge had orally expressed his disinclination to grant her bail. The judge, however, asked the National Investigating Agency to ensure that she gets good treatment.
Earlier,a special Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) court had rejected Thakurs bail application,in which she had stated that she suffers from lumber spondylitis and she needs to undergo an operation.
