Saif fashions Khalsa Sports Club victory

  • A five-wicket haul by M Saif (5 for 11) was the highlight of the match as his team— Khalsa Sports Club defeated Champion League Club by eight wickets in their league match of the 3rd RD Bhardwaj Memorial Cricket Tournament at Northern Railway Stadium, Lucknow on Tuesday. In another match of the same tourney played at Chowk Stadium, Armaan Cricket Academy defeated Lucknow Cricket Academy by 45 runs. Brief Scores: (at NR Stadium):- Champion League Club: 68 all out in 20 overs ( Piyush Kumar 23, Vishal 10; M Saif 5 for 11, Haseen Ahmed 2 for 17); Khalsa Sports Club: 72 for two in 13.1 overs ( Raman Pal Singh 22 not out, Shashwat Raj 16, Anshul Dixit 13 not out; Piyush Kusumwal 1 for 12, Pradeep 1 for 17). (at Chowk Stadium):- Armaan Cricket Academy: 152 all out in 39.3 overs ( Nikhil Srivastav 29, Naveen 25, Shiv Pal Sawariya 24; Ravi Singh 4 for 22, Avneesh Pathak 2 for 23, Ravi Jaiswal 2 for 24); LCA: 107 all out in 34.5 overs ( Alok Verma 28, Shoaib Wahid 27 not out, Ravi Jaiswal 11; Naveen 3 for 16, Dharmendra Yadav 3 for 21, Rahul Saxena 2 for 14).

    Unity triumphs
    Unity Cricket Academy registered a comprehensive 151 run victory against Lal Bahadur Shastri Club in their quarter-final match of the Pt. Rahas Bihari Tiwari Senior Division Prize Money Cricket Tournament being played at Pt. RB Tiwari Stadium, Lucknow on Tuesday. Batting first, Unity team mustered 264 runs losing nine wickets in the given 40 overs. Sandeep Srivastava (55), Adeel Baqar (50), Abbas Mehndi (47) and Moosi Raza (38) were the main run-getters. Adeel's 50 came off just 28 balls which featured ten boundaries. Abhishek Mishra took four wickets while Sandeep Mehrotra and Abhay Singh took two wickets each. In reply, Lal Bahadur Shastri Club was bowled out at a total of 113 runs in 32.3 overs. Sandeep Mehrotra (56) was the top scorer. Ravindra Solanki claimed three wickets while SM Mehndi and M Sharif took two wickets each.
