Sale deeds banned in unauthorised colonies in Gurgaon

Deputy Commissioner P C Meena directed the revenue officers in the district not to register sale deeds in unauthorised colonies.

Deputy Commissioner P C Meena today directed the revenue officers in the district not to register sale deeds in unauthorised colonies.

The directions in this regard was issued to all the revenue officers who are working as sub-registrars for registering the sale deed of immovable properties.

A sub-registrar will have to give a certificate to this effect that he or she has not registered any sale deed in any unauthorised colony on fortnightly basis,Meena said.

Meena said he himself would also be conducting random checking of the registered sale deeds.

Earlier,allegations have been made repeatedly that illegal colonies are being carved out by the ruling party leaders in the district.

Meena said that if any officer violated these instructions,he would not hesitate in writing to the government against the officer concerned.

The deputy commissioner is vested with the power to delegate the responsibilities of sub-registrar to tehsildars.
