Goa’s Salgaocar Sports Club opened their campaign on a bright note as they scored an impressive 3-0 win over Mumbai School Sports Association in a Group I league match of the Manchester United U-15 Premier Cup ‘09.

In another one-sided match of the same group, Raghav FC thrashed Sikkim Football Academy 5-0. For the winners, Ravi scored a brace, while Navin, Jatin and Jaipal added to the tally to complete the rout. In a Group II match, Sporting Clube de Goa and Viva Kerala FC were locked in a 1-1 draw to split points. Lydon Cardoz scored for Sporting, while Abhijit equalised for Viva Kerala.
