Samjhauta: Lokesh,Aseemanand given copies of statements

The National Investigation Agency provided copies of statements of prosecution witnesses,recorded under Section 164 of the CrPC.

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Monday provided copies of statements of prosecution witnesses,recorded under Section 164 of the CrPC,to Aseemanand and Lokesh,accused in the Samjhauta blasts case. Lawyers for both the accused had moved an application on July 1 for getting copies of statements of Mohammed Usman,a Pakistani who was travelling in Samjhauta train on the day of blasts,Bharat Bhai,an associate of Aseemanand,and Neera Singh,an associate of Pragya Singh Thakur. While coming out of the court,Aseemanand told reporters,“I had no role in Samjhauta blasts. I have been implicated.” Lokesh also said “I had no role in the blasts”.
