  • In Depth Analysis
  • The Haryana Police today decided to question Jainuddin Bohra, the owner of Abhinandan Bag Centre here and its co-owner Naimuddin Sudama — in connection with the Samjhauta blasts that left 64 dead and several injured.

The police claim that Jainuddin’s nephew, Huzaifa and the shop manager, Poonam Singh Thakur were the ones who provided the covers for the suitcases in which the explosives were kept. These two were arrested on Tuesday.

Apart from the two shop owners, Sudama Narang, who owns a battery shop in Indore, has also been served a notice under Section 160 of the Criminal Procedure Code by the Haryana police team.

They have been asked to report to Panipat for further questioning. Though the Haryana police have been camping in Indore for close to two weeks and secured the transit remand for the duo, the Indore police, still believe their interrogation was unlikely to reveal much.
