Former Haryana Finance Minister Prof Sampat Singh filed his nomination papers today as the Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) candidate from Hisar Lok Sabha constituency,amidst fanfare and show of strength. He will face former Haryana chief minister Bhajan Lal and Congress candidate Jai Prakash. Sampat,who had unsuccessfully contested the Adampur bylection last year against Bhajan Lal,was brought in a procession for filing his nomination. The rally organised in his support was addressed by INLD supremo Om Prakash Chautala,Haryana BJP president Atam Chand Manchanda and Rajya Sabha MP Tirlochan Singh. Chautala demanded an inquiry into the property owned by Deepinder Hooda,son of the Haryana Chief Minister. Sampats wife Krishna Singh filed her papers as his covering candidate. Randhir Singh,the brother of Congress candidate Jai Prakash,also filed papers as his covering candidate. Gulab Singh of National Lok Tantrik Party United,Nand Kishor of Sarv Jan Samaj Party,Pravesh Kumar,Azad Singh,Umarao Singh,Raj Kumar,Manu Digvijay Singh and Devi Lal filed their nominations as independent candidates.
