P A Sangma on Saturday said his rival,Pranab Mukherjee,was corrupt,at least in perception as being alleged by Team Anna. I stand by Team Annas corruption allegation against a list of ministers,which included Pranab Mukherjee. I agree with the perception that Mukherjee is also corrupt, he said,dismissing Mukherjees allegations that the Opposition presidential nominee has lowered dignity of the Presidential contest by making personal attacks. Sangma,who shared dais with top BJP leaders Ravishankar Prasad,Sushil Kumar Modi and Shahnawaz Hussain in Patna,said he also appealed to the JD(U) to rise above politics and support his candidature. Nitish Kumar is a good friend of mine. I expect him to back me but he has his political compulsions, said Sangma.
