Satte Pe Satta remake to take off in April

Amitabh Bachchan’s hit Satte Pe Satta will now be remade with Sanjay Dutt in the lead.

Amitabh Bachchan’s hit Satte Pe Satta, which was directed by Raj Sippy, will now be remade with Sanjay Dutt in the lead. Soham Shah, who will be directing the remake of the 1982 flick about seven unruly brothers living on a ranch and being tamed by seven women,is busy scripting the new version. “We will retain the story and essence of the old film, but at the same time it will offer something new to the audience.

As of now only Sanjay Dutt has been finalised to play the part enacted by Amitabh Bachchan in the original. We are still talking to other actors for the seven brothers’ roles. We are also retaining the title Satte Pe Satta,” said Shah. Sanjay Dutt Productions and Shree Ashtavinayak Cine Vision, who are co-producing the film, have acquired the rights of the original from the Sippys. The film will take off in April.
