Board said that it had narrowed the shortlist of candidates for chief executive and chief financial officer.

The new board of fraud-hit Satyam Computer Services said on Friday that additional funding arrangements and the appointment of the top management were in the final stages of being concluded.

The board said in a statement it had narrowed the shortlist of candidates for chief executive and chief financial officer to the final three and the decision would be made in the coming week.

Existing customers continue to release new work orders and collections from receivables were robust, it said.

SATYAM SAGABy: B S GANESH | 24-Jan-2009 Reply | Forward Government should not give any funds. Satyam new management must process case expeditiously and confiscate illgotten money withouit any mercy with interest. This may be a tip of the iceberg of many industries. It is worth finding which politicians are the beneficieries of SATYAM BOOTY.B S Ganesh, ganshar@dataone.in 70/9 Basappa Layout, Hanumanthnagar, BANGALORE 560 019
Hang meBy: Chinu | 24-Jan-2009 Reply | Forward Hi Vijay, I guess you donot know chineese rules. He would be free in China. Rules may not be strict compared to "international" reputation. China govt got plenty of money and they wouldnot hesitate to pump money to save reputation and hence they would have found all the missing money in different account and saved the company. No other would be knowing b/c information would not be shared freely like in other countries. All settled by now.

SATYAM RAJUBy: DR.M.NRAO | 24-Jan-2009 Reply | Forward if u want to hang raju then wht abt others ie corrupted people r u voting for them pls check
Reply to VijayBy: Prasad | 24-Jan-2009 Reply | Forward You are right Vijay. Had it been China Raju would have been hanged. But here is Raju is with Congress politician YSR Reddy, the Andhra CM. So here Raju will walk free. Just wait for some days. The english media which speaks on behalf of the Congress will hde all Raju's and Congress sin under the carpet. And no one will even talk of Satyam after Lok Sabha elections get over. Except that the people directly afected by Satyam will curse politicians and twiddle their thumbs in desperation and helplessness. Wherever Congress has been in power it has looted people and Satyam's case is very much in that league. It should be investigated as to hw money Andhra CM and the Congress received for looting the Satyam investors.
Thats irreleventBy: Akash | 24-Jan-2009 Reply | Forward We are a democracy, and be grateful for that. If you had experienced an authoritarian regime then you would know how terrible it is. Party officials can make you disappear, if you ever become a hurdle to them. Democracy is lesser of the two evils. Its slow, it may not work all the time, but it is atleast not awful many of the times to many of its citizens.
FYIBy: GY | 24-Jan-2009 Reply | Forward Yes , I agree, He was able to do all this because its not China....
funnyBy: anon | 23-Jan-2009 Reply | Forward A guy as rich as Raju will be well connected which means in China this scandal would never have surfaced! Gimme a break please.
