  • After his arrest in connection with the multi-crore Ordnance Factory Board (OFB) corruption scandal, Ramesh Nambiar, formerly additional GM of Air India, has now been removed from the position of chairman of the tourism and travel committee of the Commonwealth Games Organising Committee, sources said on Wednesday.

The CBI had arrested Nambiar on May 25 for allegedly striking deals with foreign suppliers and for money transactions through hawala for former OFB director-general Sudipta Ghosh, the main conspirator in the case according to the investigating agency. Nambiar was also suspended by Air India last week after his arrest.
