Vidyabhavan's inter-school singing competition held

Sulochana Natu's Bhartiya Vidyabhavan Vidyalaya organised an Inter-school group singing competition on September 1. To promote students' talent, Bhartiya Vidybhavan Vidyalaya has been organising inter-school group singing competition for the past three years. The theme for this year was Varsha Ritu. Nine secondary schools participated in the competition.

It was an outstanding performance by the students, said a member of the organising team. Muktangan English School and Junior College bagged the first prize. Muktangan has been participating in this competition since the inception of this competition and has been a winner all these three years.

Muktangan's annual exhibition: Over 100 models on display

Muktangan English School organised its annual exhibition for the secondary section from September 26 to 28 September. The exhibition was inaugurated by Deepti Chivate, Principal of S D Kataria High School. There were more than 100 exhibits displayed by the students. The exhibits were based on History, Geography, Information Technology, Mathematics, Science and Art and Craft. Students showed their expertise not only in academics but also in salad decoration, flower arrangement and rangoli decoration. This annual activity served as a platform for students to showcase their aesthetic and creative talent.

Del Monte organises quiz on Italy — Quest'Italia 2012

With the increasing popularity of Italian cuisine in India, Del Monte organised Quest'Italia 2012 — an event focused on Italy. Quest'Italia is one of the largest nationwide series of inter-school quiz contests in India. The quiz started in Pune this week and will travel to seven other cities across the country over the next few weeks.

A total of 83 schools from Pune participated in Quest'Italia 2012. The quiz began with a preliminary written round where teams had to answer 20 questions. The six city teams with the highest scores in written contest were selected for the city finale. The contestants successfully answered questions posed by Quizmaster Kunal Savarkar covering various subjects, ranging from Italian food to other important aspects of Italy such as custom, tradition, fine arts, literature, architecture, design, cinema, fashion, business and much more.
