  • A Local schoolgirl who fell unconscious after being made to stand under the hot sun for failing to pay the fees on time, and had to be rushed to the hospital, is now reported to be out of danger.

Purshottam Joshi, a teacher of Saraswati School in Pandeara had punished Arti Shukla and her two classmates for not paying the fees on time. The three girls were ordered to stand outside the classroom for four hours. The incident had occurred on Wednesday.

Joshi refused to hear the students’ pleas that they would pay the fees the next day. He also did not pay heed to Arti’s repeated pleas that she was ill and could not take the punishment any longer.

Arti finally fell down unconscious and the school staff rushed her to a nearby hospital. She was later shifted to the ICU of Bharti Maiya Hospital in Bhatar, where she remained in a critical condition for two days.
