Different schools in the city celebrated Dusshera festival with fervour. At Saraswati Modern Senior Secondary School, Partap Singh Wala, Rekha Vij was the chief guest on this occasion, whereas Krishan Vij was the guest of honour. Rekha Vij said,”Ramayana is the book that emphasizes on living a life in the service of humanity.” Various bhajan were sung by the students, which sent the audience in spiritual mood. Dussehra and Durga Ashtami were also celebrated at Bhartiya Vidya Mandir Senior Secondary School, Shaheed Udham Singh Nagar. A painting competition was organised for the primary classes.
