For starters,Parminder is not your regular TV actor. But when this city-based RJ for a Dubai-based radio channel Al Khaleel got an offer to act in Colors’ new prime time show,Sunno Sajna,he said ‘why not’. “It’s a challenge, and I’ll end up learning something new. It’s time to discover something new, especially about myself,” he says, all set to join the show’s crew in Mumbai on July 16. “The shooting begins on July 17,” says Parminder who plays a NRI in the show, and has bagged a ten-episode part in it. “The show, produced and directed by Kamal Kaushal, has me playing Param,an NRI Punjabi who returns home for his cousin sister’s wedding. But little does he know that no one wants him back for there is a huge dispute over land and property,” he says, divulging that his character gets killed in the tenth episode.

However,he is hopeful that there might be a reincarnation or back from the dead twist to the tale. “It all depends on how the audience responds to my character,” he says. The character he portrays is also a lot like him. “He is naughty, chirpy, very polite and kind. I never had any hassle acting for I am quite comfortable in front of the camera,” he says. He is also working on a couple of musical projects and is eagerly looking forward to the daily soap which will soon air on Colors.
