Out of a total 384 seats in SRCC for B Com (Hons), 335 have been filled. Hence in the second list, cut off is being reduced by a mere 0.5 per cent. Earlier it was 94.5-98 per cent. Meanwhile, Hindu is decreasing the cut-off marks for B Com (Hons) by 0.5 per cent and Sri Venkateswara is reducing it by 1.25 per cent.
“Hansraj College only has 100 more seats to fill out of 800. So we are reducing the cut-off for B Com (Hons) and Economics (Hons) by 0.25 and 0.5 per cent, respectively,” said Dr S R Arora, Principal.
Girls’ colleges are just as competitive. Kanika Khandelwal, PRO of Lady Shri Ram College, says that with more girls getting good marks in the class-XII exams, the competition is really high. “The seats of English and B Com are nearly filled, so we don’t have to decrease the cut off much,” she says.
