Sirmour Superintendent of Police J.P. Singh told mediapersons that these steps are being taken after the police received a threat of a terrorist attack by some unknown person a few days back. He said an alert had been sounded after the Mumbai attacks.
He said hotel owners in Sirmour have been directed to verify identity of guests and industrialists had also been advised to employ locals only after proper identification.
