The first ever edition of The Epic Tour, by Provogue will kickstart in the city with DJ Ankytrixx performing on Friday, November 23. To be held at Miami, at the Marriott Hotel and Convention Centre, the event will travel to a total of 14 cities and will highlight the epic moments of the world of entertainment, fashion and music. While Ankytrixx will spin out some of his best known techno tracks interspersed with hypnotic beats and moves, the evening will also see a fashion show choreographed by Bunty Garewal. Models like Sidharth Rawal(of Splitsvilla fame), Ameet Gaur andTanvi Singhla will showcase the new Provogue collection.

Panoramic touch

Photographer Milind Dhere, who has been working with the medium for the last 20 years is showcasing his works at Balgandharva Art Gallery. Dhere, who has travelled to Leh and Ladakh for this project, has focussed on the wild beauty of the landscape as well as the unique details of the region. Dhere says that it was the raw, natural beauty of the place that prompted him to take up the idea of shooting an entire photo project on it. In addition, he has also captured the Buddhist culture, the monasteries and the simple lifestyle of the citizens. In the past, Dhere has dabbled with various genres of photography, which include the likes of, architectural photography, industrial photography, product photography and portrait photography. The photographs on display are printed with the help of the 'inkfloat' medium on archival paper, which is supposed to last for over 200 years. The exhibition is on at Balgandharva Art Gallery from November 30 to December 2, from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm.

Writing eloquent

Author and poet Dipalle Parmar will conduct a creative writing workshop at the creative platform Open Space, spanning four days starting from November 23. 'Living the Story: A Creative Writing Workshop' will use tools such as discussing stories, observation, drawing, photo narration and more to help participants to learn the art of reading, the art of writing, taking notes and studying how to build structure while honing their narrative skills. While the first session will take place on November 23 and 24, the second session will take place on November 30 and December 1. Parmar, the workshop facilitator, has written three books of poetry and one children's novel which is to be made into a Hindi feature film. The workshops will take place at Open Space, off Law College Road.
