Music Town
Almost a year ago, when members of Delhi-based band Menwhopause were touring the North East for gigs, they stumbled upon a small town near Itanagar, called Ziro. The picturesque view and the humble locals impressed them so much that they are now organising the Ziro Festival of Music from September 14 to 16. Indie bands and musicians from Delhi, Mumbai and the North East will be participating in the festival, a few photographers such as Shiv Ahuja and Arif Siddiqui will display their works and a flea market will also be put up by the residents. Other participating bands include Blek, Peter Cat Recording Co, SkyRabbit, The Vinyl Records, Street Stories, Low Majaw and Friends and Omak Komut Collective, among others. The three-day pass costs Rs 2,500.
