The ongoing Senior Invitation League at the PYC Hindu Gymkhana saw the match between JMJ Sports academy and Maharashtra Cricket Vikas Sanghatna (MCVS) end in a draw with the MCVS team pocketing three points for having taken a first-innings lead of 50 runs.
The architect of the draw for the MCVS team was Taranjeet Singh. Batting first the JMJ sports academy team scored 381 runs riding on a ton from Amit Kadam and 82 runs from Nandan Kamat.
However on the second day when Maharashtra Cricket Vikas Sanghatna came in to bat they also began scoring freely.
First it was Manish Dhillon who scored a brilliant 80 and then it was supplemented by a score of 200 not out by Taranjeet Singh. His innings was powered by 15 sixes and 14 fours that enabled them to score a whopping 431 for nine at the end of day’s play that left the match drawn.
