
The BSE Sensex provisionally fell 2.89 per cent on Monday, weighed down by weak European markets, after rising more than 2 per cent early.
The 30-share main BSE index provisionally closed 262.96 points lower at 8,829.76, with 24 components falling.
The 50-share NSE index provisionally fell 2.5 per cent to 2,686.20.
