Ahead of Akal Takht’s verdict on Thursday, which is likely to go against him, Jagdish Singh Jhinda, SGPC member from Haryana and president of the Haryana Sikh Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (ad hoc) hit out at political parties for taking mileage out of the issue. He said while SAD and SGPC were trying to snub their voice for a separate gurdwara panel, the Congress in Haryana wanted to score points at the same time.
He said he would present himself before the Takht on Thursday where Sikh high priests would decide on the case regarding forcible control of Chhevi Patshahi Gurdwara at Kurukshetra on September 13. He said he would abide by the verdict delivered by the Sikh clergy.
