Seven persons were injured after two groups opened fire and clashed with each other in Haryana’s Palwal district,police said on Tuesday.
The incident occurred on Monday when some supporters of a former municipal councillor and other group led by one Tekan clashed near Hasanpur chowk,more than 300 km from here,over a passage through a village.
In the melee,some people opened fire,leaving seven persons injured. “While four persons of one group were injured,other group’s three men were injured,” Palwal Superintendent of Police,Anil Kumar Dhawan said.
He said the culprits were still at large and police were trying to nab them.
A case under various sections of the IPC,including attempt to murder,has been registered in this connection.
