Though there are flyovers on either side of this stretch of the highway, including the one recently opened at Gota, construction of more flyovers was ruled out considering the possibility of a metro route on this stretch in the future, said one of the project officials. "Construction of a flyover was not feasible as in that case, the metro route had to be elevated above the flyovers," said the official. In the first stage, construction on one side of the stretch and half box (structure above the underpass) of the gurudwara underpass will be done.
