Even as his father’s directorial debut Mausam hits the screens this week, there was news that Shahid Kapoor is all set to take on another film. This time it is the remake of a Marathi movie,Mumbai-Pune-Mumbai that was directed by Satish Rajwade.

The original starred Swapnil Joshi and Mukta Barve and was about two strong-minded individuals who meet each other in Pune. Mukta who is from Mumbai reaches Pune and is searching for an address. She meets Swapnil who is playing cricket on the street with kids. He helps her in her search but ultimately, she learns that it is Swapnil’s own address.

When contacted,Rajwade refused to divulge any more information though he confirmed that he was making it in Hindi as Mumbai-Delhi-Mumbai. To suit the Hindi audience’s sensibilities,it will be based in Mumbai and Delhi. The cast is being finalised,he said. Shahid however texted that he is not doing the film. Meanwhile, his mother Neelima Azim has rewritten and reworked on the script that she had written for Shahid. She hopes that when she shows it to her star-son,he agrees to be part of her ambitious project. Else she may be compelled to opt for some other actor.
