Author Gregory David Roberts has set aside his other commitments to wrap up his next novel, which is the sequel to Shantaram. Though the author had earlier set a deadline of February-end for this, he will require some more time. He, however, has made considerable progress by now. "I have written around 645 pages. It will be a 900-page book, just like Shantaram," he says. He will be based in Mumbai for nearly four months, starting late February, to focus on this. He says, "All the characters who did not die in Shantaram, reappear in the sequel, alongwith new characters." The book is scheduled to hit the stands by the end of 2013.
