Pakistan today asked India to apprise it of developments in the Samjhauta blasts investigation through official channels.
We have all along been saying that findings of investigations should be intimated to us. Now four years have elapsed, those who were the perpetrators should be brought to book, Pakistan foreign ministry spokesperson Abdul Basit told The Indian Express from Islamabad.
We are learning of the developments through the media… It is for India to tell us about the findings of the investigations through official channels, Basit said.
The spokesperson said Pakistan had raised the issue during visits by Home Minister P Chidambaram and External Affairs Minister S M Krishna last year, but there was no satisfactory response.
Asked if Pakistani authorities would like to question the accused in the Samjhauta case,Basit said,First we would like to get information through official channels, then we will decide on our response.
