She’s the Right Girl

Subhash Ghai's search for Kanchi, the protagonist of his next film of that name, is finally over. He toured the country looking for a bubbly girl with a strong personality for the role and, after auditioning 350 actors, he has now finalised Kolkata girl Mishti. "It's a tough job to write a good script — one that has the makings of a blockbuster — as well as great story with great characters. But the tougher job is when you decide to pick a newcomer to play the title role instead of an established star," says Ghai, in an official statement. He has discovered several leading faces such as Madhuri Dixit and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and we hope Mishti,too, will join the pack. The film releases in August.
