  • Investigators on Monday confirmed that the DNA results of Shiney Ahuja are out and the contents of the report ‘support the FIR’.

Additional CP (Western Region) Amitabh Gupta said, “The DNA reports came a few hours ago in the evening and it does support the contents of the FIR.”

When asked as to how it would strengthen the case against the actor, Gupta said, “The reports, besides the statement of the victim, would be the strongest evidence against Ahuja in the rape case that he has been charged with.”

Bollywood actor Ahuja (36) was arrested on June 14 after his 18-year-old maid complained to the Oshiwara police that she had been allegedly raped by the actor a day before while she was at his house at Tarapore Towers.

As per the Oshiwara police, Ahuja’s family was not at home at the time when the incident took place.

According to the maid’s statement to the police, she went to Ahuja’s house at 3 pm on Sunday for work when the actor, who was in his bedroom, called her.

“When the girl went inside to enquire about what he needed, he allegedly raped her and threatened her against telling anyone about the incident. Later in the day, the girl told her relative who took her to the police station on Sunday evening and a complaint was registered,” said a police official from the Oshiwara police station.

Ahuja had allegedly also molested the maid a day before she was reportedly raped by him.
