The Porbandar unit of the Shiv Sena has forwarded an application to the district superintendent of police demanding lodging of an offence against two stage artists for hurting Hindu sentiments. Ashok Thanki,vice-president of the Porbandar Shiv Sena unit said Vasant and Paresh (both brothers) had delivered jokes targeting Hindu gods and goddesses at a function in Bhavnagar. He said complaints against the brothers should be lodged under Sections 295 and 295 A of the Indian Penal Code and under provision of CrPC 107.
