A group of over 200 people stormed Sonu Sood's family home in Moga,Punjab demanding that the actor,who plays a gangster in the recently released Shootout At Wadala,issue a public apology for the alleged insult to Sanskrit scholar Valmiki. The protestors swooped down on Sonu Sood's unsuspecting family,causing them to panic. Also Read: Ekta Kapoor apologises,Valmiki Samaj unperturbed "When I got a call from home on Sunday in Moga saying our home was under attack I was puzzled. I'd do nothing to ever insult offend the people of Punjab or to put my family under any risk," said Sonu Sood. Apparently,Sonu Sood's father,who was at his home in Moga,was badly shaken by the attack. "We are law-abiding God-fearing simple middle class folks. My father has never hurt a fly. Why should my family or I be made answerable for something that some other character has said? I am just one of the actors in Shootout At Wadala. How can I be responsible for every dialogue in the film?" Also Read: Theatres in Punjab cancel Shootout at Wadala shows Sonu Sood said he will not apologise for the offending dialogue. "I am glad people in Punjab see me as their representative in Bollywood. They've reacted emotionally and stormed my home in Moga. But I am in no way responsible for the supposed insult." The actor is deeply concerned about the safety of his father and family in Moga. A day after the screening of Hindi film Shootout at Wadala was cancelled at several theatres in Ludhiana,Moga,Jalandhar,Bathinda and Amritsar following Bhartiya Valmiki Dharam Samaj objecting to certain dialogues in the movie,Ekta Kapoor's Balaji Motion Pictures which is producing the film on Monday apologised to the outfit. The samaj on Sunday had objected to two scenes. In one dialogue,an actor has used wrong language for Valmikiji by saying 'har chor valmiki nahi hota' and in another,John Abraham says about Ekalavya eklavya ne angutha dia tha,main poora haath de dunga.
