Susi Ganesh's Shortcut Romeo, which has been ready for a while now, has a release date finally. The film, a remake of Susi's Tamil film Thiruttu Payale, a romantic thriller with South stars Jeeva and Sonia Agarwal, is set to release on April 5.
The film's story, screenplay and direction is by Susi Ganesh himself and stars Neil Nitin Mukesh, Ameesha Patel, Puja Gupta, Vrajesh Hirjee and others.
Produced by Manjari Susi Ganesh, the film has music by Himesh Reshammiya.
Kai Po Che to premiere at Berlin film festival
UTV Motion Pictures' Kai Po Che will be premiered at the prestigious 63rd Berlin Film Festival in February 7 to February 17. The Panorama Section of the Berlin Film Festival will showcase 31 contemporary world cinema productions from across 23 countries including Turkey, Indonesia, India, Taiwan and the Ivory Coast.
The film is an adaptation of Chetan Bhagat's bestseller, The 3 Mistakes of My Life, is directed by Abhishek Kapoor and stars Sushant Singh Rajput, RajKumar Yadav, Amit Sadh, Amrita Puri and has music by Amit Trivedi. Both the director Abhishek Kapoor and the film's producer Siddharth Roy Kapur, Managing Director, Studio, Disney UTV expressed joy over the news. Kai Po Che will be released worldwide on 22nd February 2013.
Headley and I to be made into a film
Producer Sunil Bohra has bought the rights to S Hussain Zaidi and Rahul Bhatt's book Headley and I based on the 26/11 conspirator David Headley.
Sunil Bohra said,"When my cousin Abhishek (Vyas) read the book and told me about it, I got in touch with Hussain and his agency CAA KWAN. I was interested in the concept and saw the potential of making a good film. The film will talk about what happens to an innocent guy when he gets involved in a conspiracy of this magnitude. The book reads like a documentary and we will use the same format for our screenplay."
