With a scorching summer just around the corner, less is more, according to fashion experts. Short dresses in ecological fabrics will be in vogue, said Fanstine,a fashion consultant from Promostyl a Paris based company who was in the city,to attend a seminar,on fashion trends for the coming season. The seminar was organised by the Apparel Export Promotion Council (AEPC) on Friday.
Delphine Lonjou, another fashion expert from the same company, said global warming had forced fashion designers to work closely with nature and thus the emphasis on basic and natural fibres. Sunbeam yellow, turquoise, other shades of blue inspired by water will be the colours for the coming 2012 spring summer season. It will be a minimalist season with pure and clean shapes, added Lonjou.
According to A K Walia,GM,AEPC,the seminar was organised to help Indian exporters learn better designs to help them gain an edge in the increasingly competitive international garment export market. Various sectors like fashion for men, women, knitwear and woven were also covered in the seminar. More than 40 exporters and their designers attended the session.
