The rural police arrested two youths on Tuesday for the alleged murder of a 18-year-old,Rupali Tukaram Thorat,around eight months ago at Mandhavgan Farata in Shirur.
Police officials said that on April 15 the Pune rural police found the dead body of Thorat at a farm. Further investigations revealed that Rupali had been strangulated to death when she had gone to answer natures call in the morning.
The local crime branch team headed by police inspector Bhausaheb Andhalkar and Police Sub Inspector Namdeorao Kothale of the rural police were investigating the case for the past eight months During their investigation they found witness to the incident,following which the involvement of Manohar alias Pinoo Dashrat Kamble and Narayan Kamble,both residents of Madavgan Farata,in the murder,was suspected.
Police officials while questioning Kamble found that he loved Rupali. Frustrated because of her refusal to his advances he decided to kill her in revenge.
