Sikhs,Dera followers clash; cases registed against both

Local police has registered cases against a group of Sikhs and a group of dera followers after a clash between the two on the issue of Naam Charcha in Dhingar village in the district.

Police said that the group of Sikhs,suspecting that a Naam Charcha was being organized at the home of dera follower Karnail Singh,went to his house,resulting in a clash between the two groups.

In the stone pelting that ensued,Dhanna Singh from the group of Sikhs was injured. Phul SHO Hemant Kumar said a case under sections 323,148,149 and 506 IPC has been registered against dera follower Karnail Singh and,against Dhanna Singh and Buta Singh from the group of Sikhs. SHO added that some unknown persons from both sides were also booked.
