  • Moscow and Singapore were selected as the two finalists Monday in the race for the inaugural Summer Youth Olympics in 2010.

The IOC eliminated three other cities from contention — Athens, Greece; Bangkok, Thailand; and Turin, Italy. Moscow and Singapore were chosen in a postal vote of the International Olympic Committee executive board.

The full IOC will vote between Moscow and Singapore, with the winner to be announced on February 21.
