A gathering of anti-BSP parties at a Mahapanchayat called in Sisauli village in Muzaffarnagar on Tuesday failed to take any decision on the next course of action in their fight against Mayawati following the recent standoff between the BKU and Uttar Pradesh Government.
Tikait, still recovering from a course of events following his casteist remarks against Chief Minister Mayawati, offered little in terms of a concrete plan of action for the fast approaching Lok Sabha polls. Tikait’s new-found comrades in arms — the BJP, the SP and a host of minor outfits — were of no help either.
At the Mahapanchayat, the BKU supremo chose to play along diplomatically. “You sit and decide here or in Delhi, I’ll go ahead with your decision,” he said.
