BSF troops opened retaliatory fire. Immediately after the incident,BSF held flag meeting at around 3.00 AM with Pakistani counterparts who denied any firing from their side.

The Pakistan Rangers alleged that BSF had resorted to ‘unprovoked’ firing.

BSF officials said that the two rockets which did not explode after falling on Indian territory were traced at Kahangarh post where 35 BSF personnel were on duty.

This is not the first time that Pakistani forces have fired rockets in villages around the Attari border.
