    'Slumdog Millionaire' couple Freida Pinto and Dev Patel chose a zoo over expensive restaurants and nightclubs to enjoy a quiet date.

    The couple visited the San Diego Zoo in California and also got photographs clicked with their favourite animals, reported JustJared.com.

    The 25-year-old Mumbai native dressed down in a checked shirt and jeans while Patel, 19, wore a black T-shirt and denims.

    They were introduced to a prehensile-tailed porcupine called Icana and Diego the ocelot, an endangered species of cat from South America often hunted for it's beautiful fur.
