Love came down at Christmas- a programme by the members of Ladies Choir and the Children of the Pocket Choir is scheduled today at 7 pm. The programme includes selection of some choral works by various artistes including John Jacob Niles and traditional Christmas songs. It will be conducted by Veronica Krishnayya, accompanied by Nisha Sinha. The venue for the programme is Mazda Hall, Sardar Dastur Primary School, Camp.

Sufi grooves
A contemporary presentation of Sufi and classical music is organised by The Osho International Meditation Resort on December 14, at 9.30 pm, at the resort. Abhijit Pohankar, composer and keyboard player, Runa Rizvi, singer and Amit Chaubey, tabla player will perform in the event. The instruments featuring in the concert would be tabla, percussion, guitar, vocals and keyboard. The evening will conclude with an instrumental jamming piece by all the musicians.

Maestro’s voice
After having ruled the hearts of music lovers for years, Nakshtranche Dene, a programme by Zee Marathi Television, is back. With Pandit Bhimsen Joshi being awarded the Bharat Ratna, the second schedule of the programme will begin with a tribute to Panditji. The programme will take place on December 16 at Balgandharva Rang Mandir. Actors Vinay Apte and Neena Kulkarni will host the show. Memorable compositions of Pandit Bhimsen Joshi like Abhangas and Bhajans will be presented by singers Anand Bhate, Arti Ankalikar, Upendra Bhat, Shubhada Mulgund and Madhav Gudi.
