Sony keeps it light and fun

    Sony celebrates life instead of bemoaning it; everyone can watch it without being bewildered, bored or beset by guilt at how terrible we are. Like modern life, Sony’s evening is slick and fast-paced. It’s young, urban, middle class and doesn’t take life too seriously — unlike the other entertainment channels. Can it retain the tempo and resist the temptation to turn melodramatic? Aye, there’s the rub.

    Sony de nakhre..By: Adhiraj | 05-Jun-2009 Reply | Forward Rightly said. Sony has moved on keeping in view India's youth and their aspirations. Granted this newspiece focused on new programs, but I was expecting to see some mention of the grand-daddy of em all - Boogie Woogie. I recently acquired Indian TV package for my home and this is one program I never miss. The contestants are amazing and the judges keep it crisp with relevant comments. The amazing chemistry between the 3 judges and witty banter by the inimitable Javed Jaffrey are definite bonuses. Unlike some other programs where the judges keep complementing each other, with scant attention to performances themselves.
