Leader of Opposition in the state Assembly Shiv Pal Singh Yadav on Thursday blamed the state government for allotting land to builders at throwaway prices in Noida and Greater Noida.
Addressing a press conference in Lucknow on Thursday,Shiv Pal,the Samajwadi Party leader, demanded CBI probe into all the allotments of land done under the current Mayawati regime in Noida and Greater Noida areas. According to Yadav, the allotment of land is done in the name of group housing scheme and is part of a big land scam.
Citing the alleged allotment of 162 acres of land in the name of one Wave City Infrastructure Company (WCIC),Shiv Pal said the company was given land at a rate of Rs 85,000 per square meter by the Noida authority.
Besides, the company also got the NOC for constructing a multi-storeyed building,he further said. Shiv Pal claimed against the current market value of Rs 24,000 crore, the land was allotted to the company by the government for only Rs 7000 crores.
Shiv Pal also claimed there were irregularities in the allotment of commercial plots in Noida and Greater Noida. According to him,the government has given undue benefit to several companies like Amrapali,Gaur city,Three C,Gardenia,Super Tech,Paras Group and Ajanara in the allotment of lands. Besides, there is a plan to allot about 5000 acres of land to WCIC for developing township along the Yamuna Expressway.
Apart from demanding CBI probe into the alleged allotment of land, the leader of Opposition said if his party is voted to power after the 2012 assembly elections,it would cancel all such allotments. The Samajwadi Party has also issued a press release in this regard.
