Look chic with bright colours, ruffled dresses & big sleeves this summer

Celeb of the day
The surprise entry on Day Two was Kabir Bedi, who looked as hot as a firecracker. He was accompanied by girlfriend Parveen Dusanj and daughter Pooja Bedi.
They were there to cheer little Aliya (Pooja’s adorable daughter), who walked the ramp for Pallavi Jaipur.

Chatting up with each other and posing for the shutterbugs, they looked like one big happy family.

Ensemble of the day
RIMZIM Dadu may have called her line ‘My Village’, but her collection was far from rustic.
Dadu showcased an amazing mix of woven dresses, draped racer back dresses and ruffles with quilting, pleating and tonal embroidery on smocks in pink, yellow and white — the colours seemed just right for the summer.
What we loved the most was a pink-corded dress, an example of fine tailoring.

Trend of the day
VOLUMINOUS sleeves ruled the roost on the second day. Crab and Dolman sleeves were present in Kallol Dutta’s unstructured line.
Leg-of-mutton, batwing, bell and longish puff sleeves made a jarring presence in Drashta Sarvaiya, Arjun and Aastha Bahl line. High on style, these sleeves are well on their way to the top of the fashion poll.

Goss of the day
THOSE who say that they love fashion more than their lives are evidently lying. Most of them chose to stay indoors, watching Raj Thakeray on their television sets instead. As far as attendance goes, Day Two wore a desultory look.
